RU Hosts SZC Session

Rusangu University hosted the South Zambia Conference session from 6-7 December 2021 at its main campus in Monze.

About 1000 delegates attended the event. The delegates were drawn from the Conference territory which covers 15 political districts, the area after Kafue bridge from Lusaka going all the way to Livingstone, extending to Kazungula area westwards.

The session opened on the evening of 6th December with a message by Southern Zambia Union Conference CFO Mr Robert Himaambo who reminded the delegates of the mission at hand.

Session business commenced in the morning of 7th December after a devotion by Dr. Vanny Munyumbwe, the newly elected President for Southern Zambia Union Conference. In his message, he reminded the delegates about the core business of the church from the book of Acts.

After the session formalities and the presentation of SZC President’s report, the organising committee was constituted and a nominating committee was put in place. Later in the day, the Nominating Committee presented its report to the delegates in two parts; for the officers and for directors and Executive Committee members to serve in the next triennium (3 years):
